Duluth North 2003:
Duluth and the North Shore of Lake Superior has some of the most interesting scenery and places to visit. From the remaining things of the very large iron ore trade with giagantic equipment, trains, light houses, and boats that are located along the shore to the excellent resturants and waterfalls it is an area well worth revisiting many times.

This is an interesting look at the waterfront when the fog is in. One of these days I'll try to get a recording of the Duluth fog horn to add to this image.

"On a clear day ...". Notice the lift bridge which is up in this picture.

The various lights on the North Shore flashed an identification signal so the ships on the lake could take bearings and establish their position at night. These lights have functionally been replaced with GPS receivers.

This picturesque light house has been the subject for many a painter both great and unknown. It probably is one of the most photographed objects along the North Shore.
